Hope Family Service Day | Food Sort Volunteer Sign-Up

Celebrate globally by serving our community locally!

Join us on Saturday, April 25, 2026, for our Earth Day Service Day in partnership with the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano. This is a family-friendly volunteer opportunity where individuals, groups, and families (with children ages 5 and older) will help bag fresh produce for food distribution programs that serve low-income communities.

Volunteers will also learn how the Food Bank supports the environment through solar energy, recycling, composting, and food-waste prevention—helping both our neighbors and the planet thrive.

Time: 10:45 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano, Fairfield, CA 94533
Volunteer Limit: 45 (First come, first served)

Important: Children ages 5–15 must be accompanied by an actively volunteering adult (1 adult per 8 children).

Volunteers should:

  • Arrive on time and stay for the full shift
  • Wear closed-toed shoes
  • Dress in layers (warehouse temperatures vary)

Bonus: All volunteers are invited to a fellowship lunch with a bounce house afterward as a thank-you for serving!
